Administration Tags & bulk actions

Tags and bulk actions

Tags are short labels you put on agents, API keys, tools, MCP servers, alert channels and custom roles, such as checkout or pii-sensitive. Use them to group resources, filter spend and the audit log, and choose which agents an alert covers. Bulk actions change or delete many table rows at once.

Where you set tags

ResourceWhere
AgentsFeature tags, when you register an agent or edit its details.
API keysTags, when you create a key.
ToolsTags, when you register a tool in the Tool Registry, and on the tool's own page.
MCP serversTags, when you connect or add a server. See MCP.
Alert channelsTags, to find and group channels. See Alerts.
Custom rolesTags, on the role. See Custom roles.
GuardrailsTags in the Create guardrail wizard, saved onto the agent. See Guardrails.

Tag fields suggest existing tags with their usage counts, or you can type a new one. Tags only on revoked keys, revoked MCP servers or retired agents aren't suggested.

When you save:

  • Tags are lowercased and trimmed, so Checkout and checkout are the same.
  • Commas separate tags, so a tag can't contain one.
  • A tag is at most 64 characters; a resource has at most 32 tags.

Tables for agents, API keys, MCP servers, guardrails, alert channels and roles show a tag column and a tag filter.

Filter spend and the audit log by tag

PageWhat the Tag filter narrows
BudgetsSpend totals, spend by model and spend by day, to calls from agents or developer keys with any of the chosen tags. Budget caps and remaining budget stay workspace-wide.
AuditEntries about a tagged agent, key, tool, MCP server, alert channel or role, and governed calls made by a tagged agent or key.

Filters use an agent's or key's current tags, so retagging it moves its history with it.

Limit alerts to tagged agents

An alert channel's Limit agent alerts to tags field limits its agent monthly budget alerts to agents with any of those tags. Leave it empty to cover every agent.

Bulk actions

Select rows on a table to show a bar with the selection count and available actions. Select all selects every row matching the current filters, not only the visible page. Bulk actions are on these pages:

Actions depend on the page, for example scanning and auto-pause on Guardrails, or revoke on API keys. Where a table has tags, you can Add, Remove, Replace all or Clear them.

The bulk dialog has four steps:

  1. Operation

    Choose what to do.

  2. Details

Fill in what the action needs, such as the tags to add.

  3. Confirm

A preview shows how many rows Will change and Will be skipped, with Skipped, and why for each skipped row. Nothing is applied until you confirm. To delete, you type the number of rows.

  4. Result

How many rows Succeeded, were Skipped or Failed. You can retry failed rows. Large runs continue in the background.

Your selection and an open bulk dialog survive a page refresh.
